Lotsa burlesque shows for February 11th and a tentative February Model Schedule

If you enjoyed drawing DeLynn this past Saturday, see her perform as Nina Bel Vande at the Keyhole Cabaret’s show “Alice: Through the Keyhole, A Burlesque from the Wonderland” coming February, 11th at the Stout Pub (1125 6th Avenue, San Diego, CA 92101). Doors open at 8pm and the show starts at 9:30pm to 12 midnight. Click on the link to get advanced tickets.

Also on the February 11th, is Pink Boombox’s Burlesque show “Post Apocalyptic Romance!” at the Ruby Room (1271 University Ave, San Diego, CA 92103) from 9pm to 12 midnight. This show is also a Birthday Celebration for Leia (AKA: Lily Holiday) Click on the link for more information and for updates.

Leia will also be modeling for North Park on this coming Saturday, January 28th. It is the last Saturday of the month so that means long pose day.

This last Thursday, January 26th, the feature model for long pose Thursday will be Ian. He’s a great male model so you won’t want to miss out.

Drink and Draw at the AC Lounge Sunday, January 15th… Sexy Space Invaders with Rin Ravage

This coming Sunday, January 15th is another session of Pink Boombox’s Drink and Draw at the AC Lounge (4673 30th St, San Diego CA 92116).  Rin Ravage is scheduled to model in to the theme of Sexy Space Invaders.  The fun starts at 9pm and ends at 12midnight for a cost of only $5.

Update: Highland Valley Studios – Sunday, January 22nd

We’ve got a quick update on Highland Valley Studios open studio figure drawing on Sunday, January 22nd, from 11am to 3pm.  Sabrina is unable to model for that day, instead Zoe shall be modeling in her place.  We edited the previous post to reflect this information.  Once again, an RSVP is required so contact Patrick Korch at hvstudios1@gmail.com or call him at 858-602-6969.

US Arts Center January Model Schedule, Perspective Life Drawing, Highland Valley Studios and see London Below perform this Friday the 13th.

The US Arts Center (12812 Rancho Penasquitos Blvd – Suite U) has a new model schedule for their Wednesday morning (9am – Noon) open studio figure drawing….

Wednesday, January 11th is Michelle (nude/semi-nude pose)
Wednesday, January 18th is Briana Mooney (nude/semi-nude pose)
Wednesday, January 25th is Trish (nude/semi-nude pose)

Perspective Life Drawing is resuming their figure drawing on Sunday, January 22nd. The location is at “The Dojo” 3819 Alta Loma Drive, Bonita CA and starts at 3pm and ends at 6pm. The fee is $10 and snacks are included with the fee. Scheduled to model is Eliza the traveling pole performer.

On that same Sunday, January 22nd. Highland Valley Studios (18528 Highland Valley Road, Ramona) will have another open studio figure drawing session from 11am to 3pm. If you enjoyed drawing Zoe this past Saturday, then come see her perform with her band London Below this Friday, January 13th at the Griffin (1310 Morena Blvd. San Diego, CA 92110). Also performing is Lauren Schwartz, SABA, and The Shantyannes. The doors open at 9pm and tickets are only $7.

Art Supply Swap, drawing resumes at the 204 Gallery, West City Campus and Highland Valley Studio, and January’s model schedule

Adelaide gives her sincerest apologies to all. Her plane came in late and she overslept.

Do you have some art supplies that you don’t need? On Saturday, Jan. 14 from 11am to 4pm, the Vista Art Foundation is having a Art Supply swap meet at Gallery 204 (204 Main Street Vista, CA) You can purchase a booth for $15 (Non-refundable & non-transferrable, payable prior to the event) and sell those art supplies. Booth space sizes will vary according to what each vendor has to sell. An additional 10% of your total sales goes to the gallery. For more information, contact Laura at 760-305-8278.

Speaking of the 204 Gallery, Wednesday figure drawing is still going on at the 204 Gallery (204 Main Street Vista, CA) from 6pm to 9pm for only $10.

Tuesday evening drawing class also resumes this January 3rd, Tuesday from 5:30pm to 9pm, at the West City Campus (3249 Fordham Street, Room 124a).  There is a $5 model fee for each time you show up, but registration is free, and you only have to do it once per semester.

Highland Valley Studios (18528 Highland Valley Road, Ramona) is resuming their figure drawing on Sunday, January 8th from 11am to 3pm. Brianna is scheduled to model. Holiday drawing for the 4th week of December

Tuesday evening drawing at West City Campus in Point Loma (3249 Fordham Street) is closed for the holidays and will resume January 3rd at the usual time of 5:30pm to 9pm. They’ve been low in attendance lately so come and draw and help them out.

Our friends at US Arts Center (12812 Rancho Penasquitos Blvd – Suite U) will be closed for Wednesday, December 21st, but they will be open for Wednesday, December the 28th at the usual time of 9am to 12noon. DeLynn (AKA: Nina Bel Vande of the Keyhole Cabaret) is scheduled to model.

US Arts may be closed Wednesday, December 21st. But the Vista Art Foundation at Gallery 204 (204 Main Street, Vista CA) will be drawing that evening from 6pm to 9pm.

Speaking of the Keyhole Cabaret… they have a holiday themed show titled “Hannukkah Hannah’s Holiday Burlesque Extravaganza!!”  It will take place at the Kennsington Club (4079 adams ave., San Diego, CA 92116).  It all goes down this Friday, December 23rd at 10pm.

At North Park, this Thursday, December 22nd, Wendy is scheduled to model.  And of course, this Saturday is Christmas so there is NO DRAWING FOR SATURDAY, DECEMBER 24TH.

North Park Toyland Parade reminder and a model schedule update for US Arts Center and North Park Drawing Group

Once again reminder to all North Park Drawing Group attendees… This Saturday, December 3rd is the 48th Annual North Park Toyland Parade. Come early if you plan to attend Saturday, December 3rd as parking will be a challenge. So give yourself plenty of time to find a parking spot. If all goes as it has in the past, the streets that run North and South will be blocked off, but the streets that run East and West will be OK to park. We would like to submit as a disclaimer that this may all change for this year. But all in all, come early in anticipation of a challenge to parking.

Our friends at the US Arts Center (12812 Rancho Penasquitos Blvd Suite U) have a new model schedule for Wednesday mornings from 9am to 12noon. Their model schedule goes accordingly…
