“Book of Skin” Casting Call, Full Frontal Nerdity and Dr. Sketchy’s

North Park Drawing friend and regular attendee Neil Kendricks is seeking skilled, visual artists with acting experience for a short film “Book of Skin” set against the backdrop of a surreal life-drawing.  There is a Backstage West Casting notice that you can find HERE.  If you’re not a member of Backstage West Casting and are interested you can send head shots and drawing samples to neilkendricks@gmail.com

This Friday, June 17th and Friday, June 24th is the burlesque show “Full Frontal Nerdity: a Circus Burlesque Show for Your Inner Geek” at the Irenic (3090 Polk Ave, San Diego, California 92104).  Many talented folk who have modeled at our drawing group will be performing there.  Doors open at 7pm and show starts at 8pm.  Check out the Facebook event page for more information and to purchase tickets in advance.

This Saturday, June 18th is another session of Dr. Sketchy’s Anti-Art School. This session’s theme is “Legend of the Violin Virtuoso starring Jamie Shadowlight”.  Come by the Merrow (1271 University Ave San Diego CA 92103). The fun starts at 3pm and ends at 6pm. Checkout their website for more info and to reserve a spot.
